Classic AW15 Style // Gap Jumper

I've just had a week off in my home county of Dorset. I left Brighton with a bag full of clothes for wet and windy weather, but arrived in Dorset to a (brief) Indian Summer. Now it's pouring with rain again. I can't keep up. Either way I had a lovely time. We went for a lovely sunny, yet slightly chilly, walk along Sandbanks, where I got to crack out my first new jumper for the AW15 season - this little beaut from GAP.

The 70's inspired aztec style patten drew me to it, along with the medium-weight knit that's not too thick and not too thin, so ideal for this strange transeasonal weather. Plus, for me personally, you can never own enough woolie jumpers.

I like GAP because it's simple, original and hard wearing, it sums up The Classic Male. My best sources of style are the 'classic' male stereotypes; the fisherman, the navy man, the city gentleman, the farmer etc.

Yes, I've just quoted myself, but it's something I feel strongly about. I'm always being referred to as a rugged, classic looking man. So that's my style. Since starting this blog I've kept a close watch on the catwalks and 'next look' (so say the magazines) and to be honest, 90% of what you see is just not what the classic modern man of today who shops in the high street wears. I don't think you can go wrong with the classic look...(of course no offence to anyone who does sport a neon pink trench coat down the pub. Each to their own and all that.)

I've styled my new jumper very simply, with my new black washed skinny jeans from Next (skinny jeans but not too tight! I like some breathing space down there!) and my most comfortable pair of shoes ever from Clarks.

I think I will wear this jumper long into the winter but once the cold weather does start to stay bloody freezing I'll be adding a Shearling jacket over the top. I've added loads I like to my Pintrest boards but I haven't yet found the right one. Does anyone know any good sites or stores where I could purchase one?

Have you got anything lined up for the cold spell yet? I would love to know. If so please comment on here or give me a tweet (@richieday85). I think I have what's known in the woman's world as Resting Bitch Face (?) but I'm actually very approachable and would love to network with more bloggers!

Oh and if you want to get this GAP jumper it is now in the sale (here).

Look forward to hearing from you,

Rich :)
